Vincent Pontillo-Verrastro
Analogous relationships, characteristics, and metaphoric devices fascinate me.
They require psychoanalytic introspection and elicit comparison contrast, producing a certain type of cognitive tête-à-tête between free association and relative aesthetics.
My studio practice uses the history of craft-media as a springboard to investigate mnemonic properties of the made object. By traditionally and digitally fabricating in tandem, I investigate a uniquely obscure space of material and process-based interrogation.
Seemingly made of [insert material here] of natural colour, that is, neither dyed nor bleached, this work is an attempt to communicate my thoughts on aesthetically relative analogism.
