Beige is the French word for the colour of natural wool before being dyed or bleached. The origin of this word inspired me to experiment without using coloured materials.
The purest colour of Japanese lacquer is golden yellow beige.
Combining pale, powdered minerals and natural white eggshells with the lacquer, accentuates the textural differences of these materials, creating different tones in the piece.
Bottles are the motif that I see as a symbol of daily life, which the colour of beige represents.
