The colour beige reminds me of my skin, my flesh, it’s related to my intimacy. I worked with objects and materials from the bathroom: toilet paper, a mirror and make-up packaging. I embroidered the toilet paper into an ergonomic shape, so and fluffy, to amplify the tactile properties of the paper. Make up on skin is associated with beauty and self-care but on objects and textiles it often becomes repellent. I like to play with those contradictions. On the brooch back there is a mirror, tool of self-reflection, worn against the body.
