Bogki Min
The Nappa leather used for this work is very soft and elastic. The lamb's skin looks a bit like a person’s skin after removing the wool. To me, skin is actually linked to negative memories. I had surgery last year after hurting my thumb, while trying to save someone from self-harming.
The wounds were so deep that I was worried that my career as a jewellery maker was over. This work gave me the experience of sublimating the spirit after the trauma. Maybe this work is a summary of the recovery process after surgery, otherwise revealing my inner-self.
