We live in a world of colour and to be able to distinguish the nuances between shades and tones is something to be valued. Over 300 million people around the world struggle with some form of colour vision deficiency or colour blindness, as it is commonly described. Ishihara plates are used to test this and there are thirty-eight types to cover the whole spectrum including neutrals like beige. I have taken the preciousness of gold, and by diluting it from its purest form, have created subtle gradations of ‘beige’ in the patterns of Ishihara colour perception testing. What do you see?
